Organization: ADI International (PEI) Inc<br />

Location: Brookfield, near Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island<br />

<br />

ADI International (PEI) Inc. operates the Central Compost Facility located in Brookfield, PEI. We require a Quality Control Technician for the Facility.<br />

<br />

Key responsibilities of this position will include:<br />

• Quality control of the overall process (incoming feedstock, material preparation, composting, leachate management, odor control etc…);<br />

• Inspection of incoming loads for compliance with Waste Watch guidelines and applying surcharges or rejection of loads, when applicable, and complete inspection reports;<br />

• Hands-on approach (Pre-Processing, Mixing, Composting, Curing, Post-Processing, Storage etc…)<br />

• Minor Lab work<br />

• Communicate, educate and offer assistance to the contract haulers to ensure compliance and an understanding of the Waste Watch Program guidelines<br />

• Work in conjunction with the scale house operator and other facility staff<br />

• Attend training sessions in order to gain a good understanding of the composting technology<br />

• Assist with tours of the facility to promote the Waste Watch Program and the facility operation<br />

<br />

Qualifications:<br />

• Written and verbal communication skills;<br />

• Proficient in Microsoft Work and Excel;<br />

• Ability to work productively with limited supervision;<br />

• Post-secondary education or equivalent;<br />

• Valid driver's license and vehicle<br />
