Position: Rural Community Resiliency and Youth Engagement Apprentice<br />

Falls Brook Centre has a long history of fostering thriving local communities. We engage with rural New Brunswick communities and facilitate programs, workshops, and events that celebrate their heritage and preserve hard skills which can be used to strengthen community viability. You will play a key role in helping us bring communities together.<br />
<br />
You are an excited, capable, and sustainability-minded individual. You are organized and efficient, and demonstrate excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills. However, you are also able to work independently and show remarkable drive and initiative. You are able to meet deadlines under pressure and produce deliverables outlined by your supervisor.<br />
<br />
Responsibilities: <br />
• Contacting and scheduling workshop presenters, instructors, artists, and experts<br />
• Coordinating demonstration site infrastructure-specific needs<br />
• Compiling media and promotions materials<br />
• Managing event promotion and registration<br />
• Developing rural youth engagement strategies<br />
• Co-facilitating FBC youth Leadership Summer Camps<br />
<br />
The RCRYE Apprentice will work closely with and report directly to the Education Coordinator.<br />
<br />
Skills and Job Requirements: <br />
• Bilingualism (English and French) is required.<br />
• Secondary education required.<br />
• Other language skills are an asset.<br />
• First Aid and CPR-C training is an asset.<br />
• Summer apprentices must be able to travel to Glassville, NB from Fredericton, NB as necessary throughout the contract period.<br />

Eligibility: <br />
<br />
Applicants must have been enrolled in full-time studies at a secondary educational institution for the term immediately preceding their application (Winter 2016) and must be intending to return to full-time studies at an educational institution in the term immediately following the end of the contract (Fall 2016).<br />
