Position: Landscape Technician<br />

WORK TERM: 6 weeks between May 16 to August 30, 2016<br />

<br />
Atlantic School of Theology seeks one landscape student to create a contemplative waterfront garden on the AST campus.<br />
<br />
The candidate will report to the Physical Plant Manager. The student is expected to work with senior staff to develop and create a contemplative water front garden on the AST campus (Northwest Arm).<br />
<br />
Eligible applicants: <br />
• Between 15 and 30 years of age (inclusive at the start of employment)<br />
• Was registered as a full-time student during the preceding academic year<br />
• Intends to return to school on a full-time basis during the next academic year<br />
• Is a student in a secondary, post-secondary, CEGEP, vocation or technical program;<br />
• Is a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person on who refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act*; and<br />
• Is legally entitled to work according to the relevant provincial/territorial legislation and regulations.<br />
<br />
*Foreign students are not eligible.<br />
<br />

The successful candidate will possess the following behavioral competencies:<br />

Salary: $14.00 per hour. An AST residence room will also be available during the work term to the preferred candidate.<br />
