Wanted: Farm, house, land help needed<br />

My partner and I are a couple that has recently moved to Cape Breton Island. Over the summer of 2016 we were work traders on an organic farm in BC and learned it was our calling to start our own organic farm. We now live on 100 acres of land in Nova Scotia and are creating an organic permaculture farm. Our dream is to create a sustainable space that provides for us and anyone else living on the land, helping us along our way. We are looking for people that have a like-minded environmental consciousness. Experience isn't necessary, just a willingness to learn. We also offer the opportunity to stay for as long as you would like and work on your own dreams. We would like to offer equal opportunities here and want to encourage others to live in a sustainable way.<br />

We don't require help on the weekends and our work days usually end around 2pm more or less depending on the weather and work. There is plenty to do in the area during the summer, spring and fall months. We will require help at the weekly markets in the 3 surrounding towns as well as working the garden beds tilling, planting, transplanting, watering, harvesting, taking care of chickens as well as help around the house and other chores as they arise.<br />

Beginning in April and on through to October we have 2 available rooms in our home, plenty of places to set up a tent as well as places to set up campers, buses, etc. for work traders. We provide breakfast and lunch, Monday to Friday.<br />
<br />
There is an abundance of activities in the area. We are centered between 2 towns, Inverness and Cheticamp. English and French are the main languages of the area. We are just a 5 minute walk from a lovely pebble beach and a 10 minute walk to the large sandy beach. The area offers a lot to do during the summer including beach fires, yoga, meditation groups, restaurants, paddle boarding, sea kayaking, hiking and is at the foot of the world famous Cabot Trail.<br />
