You can make a real difference in your community by volunteering with Ducks. Our volunteer program is a great opportunity to meet new people, share your skills and use your creativity - all the while making a positive contribution towards the health of our planet. When you volunteer for Ducks, you're helping conserve, restore, and manage wetlands and associated habitats for the benefit of waterfowl, other wildlife and people.<br />
<br />
Volunteers are the core strength of Ducks Unlimited Canada. Fundraising is a vital aspect of our work and takes place across the country, in every region of Canada. To help, you can:<br />
• Join one of our local volunteer committees to help organize a fundraising event. You can help organize the banquet, silent or live auction, raffles, etc. which go into making a successful event.<br />
• Run one of our Sealed Bid Auction (SBA) sites. Through this program, art with ballot boxes are displayed on easels in businesses. People bid on the art simply by filling out the form and placing it in the box. Once the auction is closed, the art is sold to the highest bidder.<br />
• Assist with our youth education programs. We run programs for children from pre-school all the way to grade 12 and often need an extra set of helping hands.<br />
• Volunteer at our front reception desk once/week to answer phones & direct traffic and act as admin support for our staff. You'll join our friendly office, meet members of the public who drop in and direct phone calls concerning a wide variety of subject.<br />
