Wanted: Small farm stewards<br />

Location: near Port Joli, South Shore, Nova Scotia<br />

Seeking help to work with owner bringing a 19th century ocean-side farm on Nova Scotia’s South Shore back to life.<br />
<br />
Ideal applicant would be a couple (possibly early retirees) having some skills and lots of motivation to farm but nowhere to dig. This would be May to October (longer term possible). In return can provide a modest stipend, accommodation (off-grid cabin on shore), plus gardens, pastures, and all outdoors to grow and gather food. The more skills and experience the better.<br />

Potential additional income through leading workshops relating to rural homestead living, small farming, woodlot management, or market gardening. (Located half hour from Liverpool, Lockeport, and Shelburne farmers’ markets.) Blacksmith shop, Wood-Mizer portable mill, and antique shingle mill available for use and/or instruction.<br />
