The Harrison Lewis Coastal Discovery Centre was founded in 2007 as a non-profit organization dedicated to the appreciation of the natural environment and local history. Located on Nova Scotia's South Shore, the Centre offers outstanding opportunities to explore, research, and experience the living landscape. <br />
<br />
Summer Job: Field Station Assistant<br />
<br />
Working with the manager, employees, and volunteers, take part in tasks related to operating the Harrison Lewis Coastal Discovery Centre (339 Sandy Bay Road, East Port L'Hebert, NS B0T 1S0). Included are all aspects of planning and execution of programs relating to natural history, the environment, rural culture, and small farm, woodlot, and homestead skills.<br />
<br />
Successful applicant must be a returning, post-secondary student in a relevant field of study (e.g. biology, ecology, earth sciences, environmental science, environmental studies, environmental communications, outdoor recreation/leisure studies, forestry, etc.).<br />
<br />
Accommodation to be provided, if required.<br />
