Position: Paid farm work for 2019 season<br />
Type: full time with on-farm accom. <br />
Farm: Abundant Acres Farm<br />
Location: Centre Burlington, Hants County, Nova Scotia (50 mins from Halifax)<br />

We are taking applications for the 2019 season: early April till the end of November.<br />
<br />
Each full time employee is in charge of one of our production systems.<br />
A 144'x32' greenhouse heated with buried air tubes and an oil furnace for back up heat. It is producing year round cold season greens and early tomatoes, ginger and turmeric.<br />
Minimum till, deep compost raised beds with short season direct deeded crops. About one acre.<br />
Minimum till, deep compost raised beds with longer season direct seeded crops and some transplanted crops in landscape fabric. A little more than an acre.<br />
Transplanted crops in biodegradable plastic mulch with clover pathways<br />
Seedling production and micro greens in a vegetable oil heated greenhouse and two mobile field tunnels 20'x 300' and 16'x300' with greens, carrots and beets in the early spring and late fall, and tomatoes, peppers, ginger and turmeric in the summer.<br />
<br />
We offer a salary of minimum wage x 35 hours a week with free private cabins with wood stoves, ample food, one week mid-summer vacation and a significant end of season bonus if the farm meets financial goals.<br />

Higher pay is possible for people with exceptional farming experience.<br />
