If you are a talented campaigner with a great sense of humour, passion for our forests and ready to change the world – then you may well be our perfect new team member! Canopy is growing and we’re looking for a Corporate Campaigner to bring creativity, passion and strong strategic smarts to our innovative and transformative campaigns to safeguard the world’s forests and species.<br />

You will work closely with Canopy’s Campaign Director and Campaign Team to ensure Canopy meets our bold vision for a more sustainable planet! You’ll spend time working with some of the world’s most influential corporate executives to leverage on the ground conservation and transform unsustainable supply chains.<br />
<br />
Canopy is looking for an experienced campaigner. However, we are open to being persuaded and impressed by your campaigning skills to convince us otherwise!<br />

• CanopyStyle – Canopy’s work with fashion brands to eliminate endangered forests from rayon clothing is the hottest thing on the runway this season!<br />
• Conserving millions of acres of forest along side environmental allies and traditional communities - including the Great Bear Rainforest Agreements where Canopy helped secure 85% of this 15 million acre rainforest as protected or off-limits to logging<br />
• We are kick-starting the commercial production of straw papers to revolutionize how paper and packaging is produced and its impacts on forests<br />
<br />
Responsibilities:<br />
• Engage large corporate consumers of forest products to develop and implement environmental purchasing policies and motivate them to become champions of conservation.<br />
• Provide support to corporate partners in strategies that will increase the supply of eco friendly pulp/paper/fabrics/packaging for their sector and transform supply chains.<br />
• Work closely with Canopy team and allies to secure conservation in priority landscapes.<br />
• Work closely with the Canopy campaign team on campaign planning and implementation and contribute to overall strategic direction of the organization.<br />
• Razzle dazzle our primary audience with strong public speaking skills<br />
• Collaborate with Canopy’s communications and development teams and campaigners on joint events and projects.<br />
• Engage in the organization’s fundraising efforts.<br />
