The Tare Shop Hiring Customer Service Staff<br />

Position: Barista<br />
Organization: The Tare Shop<br />
Location: Halifax, Nova Scotia<br />
<br />
Hiring for 20-30 hours a week<br />
<br />
The Tare Shop is Halifaxs first package-free coffee shop, bulk store, and community space. We have no disposable coffee cups in our coffee shop we have mugs for customers who stay in store and sell travel mugs, as well as give free mugs away from our mug library. In our bulk section we have no plastic bags. Instead customers bring in their own containers to fill up with products. We have an event space that we rent out, as well as run workshops and events. Our mission is to bring more sustainable options to Haligonians and create a positive change in a negative world.<br />

We are looking for fun, hardworking, and just generally awesome people to join our team. We are hiring one full time employee and one part time employee.<br />
<br />
The Responsibilities<br />
Prepare and serve drinks in our cafe<br />
Assist customers with their bulk food purchases<br />
Help ensure the store is kept clean<br />
Restock food and merchandise<br />
Help educate and create conversations surrounding sustainability<br />
Assist with events and workshops<br />
Support Haligonians in reducing their waste and greening their lives<br />
Help the Tare Shop grow and improve, with constant change and adaptation<br />
<br />
Requirements<br />
Barista experience<br />
Passion for sustainability<br />
Up-beat, positive and authentic attitude<br />
Ability to work in a small team<br />
Be able to receive and give feedback<br />
Be available to work weekends<br />
Basic computer skills<br />
Ability to multi-task and provide multi-customer service<br />
Lift 60lbs<br />
<br />
Assets<br />
Customer service experience<br />
Ability to speak several languages<br />
