Position: Campaigns and Events Coordinator<br />

*Extended Employment Opportunity: If the successful candidate is returning to academic studies at Dalhousie University or the University of Kings College in the fall, they will automatically be given consideration for one of our Campus Programming Coordinator job roles if so desired.<br />
<br />
Tasks and Responsibilities: <br />
Develop summer/fall events schedules, and liaise with campus and community partners to identify potential programming partners<br />
Design and implement membership engagement strategy/needs assessment to gather data that will inform programming direction of NSPIRG<br />
Assist in developing Project (RE)Construct, NSPIRGs Fall Orientation programming<br />
Provide assistance to Campaigns and Working Groups as needed under the direction of the NSPIRG Board of Directors<br />
Related tasks as determined by NSPIRG upon consultation with employee<br />
<br />
Skills and Assets: <br />
Passion for social and environmental justice<br />
General knowledge of justice-based student and community groups that work with marginalized folks within Nova Scotia<br />
Experience working within a student union or non-profit structure<br />
Volunteer or supervisory management experience considered an asset<br />
Knowledge of current student movements and issues<br />
Programming development, events coordination/management and/or facilitation experience<br />
Comfort developing web content and overseeing social media platforms<br />
General knowledge of Microsoft Office<br />
<br />
Terms of Employment: $15 per hour, approximately hours 15 hours per week. Flexibility available.<br />
Anticipated Contract: June 3rd - August 30th, 2019. NSPIRG is open to negotiating terms and length of employment based on applicant needs.<br />
