Position: Manager – Proposals & Research<br />
Organization: Clean Foundation<br />
Location: Dartmouth/Halifax, Nova Scotia<br />
<br />
Summary of the Position: <br />
<br />
The Manager – Proposals & Research will support the development of new and existing projects and programs. This may include reviewing procurement websites and other sources to identify new funding opportunities, tracking funding commitments, compiling and analyzing data, compiling bids and proposals, and writing summary reports on a variety of topics. This may involve preparing work plans and project charters, and other project management documents.<br />

This position requires you to be innovative and self-motivated with strong organizational skills and a background or interest in a wide variety of environmental topics<br />
<br />
Specific Accountabilities (Duties and Responsibilities): <br />
• Work with various team members across the organization to improve and evolve existing programs as well as identify and create new opportunities that are consistent with Clean’s mission and values;<br />
• Conduct research in order to provide support for new and existing projects;<br />
• Maintain clear communication with project teams and internal and external stakeholders;<br />
• Support proper delivery of the human resources and safety policies, procedures and practices of the organization;<br />
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.<br />

Education and Required Qualifications:<br />
• Completion of post-secondary education in Public Administration, Business Administration, Environmental Science or a related field.<br />
• Minimum of (5) years’ experience in program development or related role;<br />
• Minimum of (5) years’ experience managing employees;<br />
• A track record of bring new projects, initiative or programs from idea to funded implementation;<br />
• Operational experience in Clean’s core areas of program delivery (energy efficiency, waste, water, education and transportation) would be considered an asset;<br />
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organise, analyse and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy;<br />
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills;<br />
• Experience developing and maintaining effective working relationships with outside agencies and private firms;<br />
• Strong research skills;<br />
• Experience conducting research and drafting/compiling reports;<br />
• Detailed oriented and good quantitative abilities skills;<br />
• Excellent time management and organization skills;<br />
• Ability to work productively as part of a team;<br />
• Proficiency with Outlook, Internet search engines and Microsoft Office, (Word, Excel and PowerPoint);<br />
• Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision;<br />
• Must be able to provide a Driver’s Abstract from the Registry of Motor Vehicle;<br />
• Must demonstrate a passion<br />

Working Conditions<br />
<br />
Additional hours, or time outside of the normal work hours, may be required in order to meet operational requirements of planning and delivering specific projects at specific times of the year.<br />
