Position: Digital Mapping Coordinator<br />
Organization: Food For All NB | Aliments pour tous NB / United Way of Central New Brunswick<br />
Location:, New Brunswick preferred, candidates from anywhere in Canada will be considered. <br />

<br />
The Digital Mapping Coordinator’s key focus will be the re-development of Food For All NB’s NB Food Programs Map, originally developed in 2017 using the Google MyMaps platform. The Digital Mapping Coordinator will coordinate all aspects of Food For All NB’s digital geographic data. Training on project management will be provided to the successful candidate.<br />

Throughout the period of employment, there will be regular opportunities to deepen the candidate’s knowledge of food security/sovereignty issues and to work on digital projects across all areas of Food For All NB’s programming, such as with gardening knowledge exchange, Indigenous food sovereignty, the food security response to COVID-19, a new initiative relating to food and climate change, and the Community Food Mentors (CFM) Program.<br />
<br />
Responsibilities:<br />
• Supporting the selection of a more sophisticated mapping platform for the NB Food Programs Map;<br />
• Leading the transition of information from the current NB Food Programs Map to the new platform;<br />
• Designing digital maps with geographic data and other data sources;<br />
• Analyzing spatial data through the use of mapping software;<br />
• Discovering patterns and trends through spatial mapping of data;<br />
• Supporting the development of other online tools (e.g., the Resource Directory, CFM Program tools, CFM Directory, and Featured CFM videos) as needed;<br />
• Maintaining and building strong partnerships with Food For All NB’s stakeholders and supporters.<br />

Qualifications:<br />
• Ability to work virtually within a distributed workforce;<br />
• Strong interpersonal skills;<br />
• Exceptional organizational, project, and time management skills;<br />
• Flexible and adaptive to different levels of workloads and schedules;<br />
• Exceptional technical and digital skills, and willingness to learn new technologies;<br />
• Attention to detail and good problem-solving skills;<br />
• Analytical mindset and outstanding quantitative skill set;<br />
• Excellent written and verbal communication;<br />
• Familiarity and understanding of food security/sovereignty issues is an asset;<br />
• Experience with mapping tools such as QGIS, arcGIS, and Carto is an asset;<br />
• Fluency in both French and English is an asset.<br />
<br />
