Workshop West Theatre in Edmonton seeks a General Manager
with the standard GM skills: 
- workaholic & perfectionist tendencies, 
- compulsive planning & organizing habits,
- financial management abilities of a CA,
- relentless initiative, 
- administrative vision of a Harvard MBA,
- grant writing genius, 
- Garth Drabinski's producing skills, 
- computer wizardry, (especially in Excel), 
- US presidential candidate fundraising skills 
- diplomatic skills of Lester Pearson, 
- ability to smile & juggle while tap-dancing in Jello. 

Workshop West Theatre develops, produces and presents new plays and
playwrights. Entering our 29th season with a brand new Board, WWT's
budget hovers is $250,000 with room for lots of growth. 

Working collaboratively with the Artistic Director and reporting equally
to the Board, the GM is responsible for: 

- financial management, administration, 
- development of season and project budgets 
- overseeing the production of a 4 event season
- fund development, grant writing and liaison with funding agencies with
the AD
- overseeing marketing and promotion 
- human resources and contracting  
- Board and community liaison

Excellent written and oral communication skills, background in arts
administration and management, a passion for theatre, and the ability to
work independently and in a team situation would be assets. 

The position is full time. Salary is negotiable, ranging from $31 -
$36,000, with strong support for professional development.
