OPEN CASTING CALL FOR KIDS  For THE LION KING
presented at The Princess of Wales Theatre in Toronto.

Contracts will be from approx. end of March until mid-Oct. 2002

We strongly encourage Performers of all ethnicities and backgrounds to
attend this call.  Strong male & female singers for characters ages 9-12
years old, who move well for these roles:

YOUNG SIMBA & YOUNG NALA:   9 - 12 years old.  Simba & Nala are male and
female AFRICAN lion cubs.  Simba and Nala must be able to move and sing well
(pop voices needed).  Slim and 4'10" maximum height.

AUDITION DATE:  Saturday, January 12, 2002.  Sign-up between 9am-12pm.
Auditions will continue throughout the day until all singers have been seen.

AUDITION LOCATION:  EASTMINSTER CHURCH - 310 Danforth Avenue (at Jackman
Ave) in the Sanctuary.

What to prepare:  Children should be familiar with the song "I Just Can't
Wait to be King" heard on The Lion King Broadway recording and animated
version of the show.  All singers should bring sheet music for one or two
pop songs of their choice.  Also, bring a recent photo (snapshot) and resume
listing any experience and statistics.  No theatre experience necessary.
