ATTENTION EQUITY MEMBERS!

Thanks to funding from the CAEA professional development fund, limited
subsidies
will be available for equity members to attend the 2002 International Voice
Workshops
with Richard Armstrong, held at The Banff Centre in August.

WHAT:
The Banff Centre's International Voice Workshops with Richard Armstrong
offer three intensive workshops for singers, actors, dancers, musicians,
composers, and voice teachers.

These workshops focus on the exploration and expansion of range and
character, and emphasize good use of breath, body alignment, and physical
grounding. There is a special emphasis on the connection between the voice
and the personality of each participant. The workshops may include the
development of original material through improvisation with scenes, text,
scores, songs, and space.

WHO:
These workshops are of particular relevance for professional or emerging
professional singers and actors, however, dancers, composers, playwrights,
and voice teachers have found them invaluable, and Richard Armstrong will
adapt the training to the individual needs of the participating artists.

WHEN:
INTRODUCTORY - August 18 to 20, 2002
INTERMEDIATE - August 22 to 24, 2002
ADVANCED - August 26 to September 1, 2002 (There will be a half-day break
during the advanced workshop)

REGULAR COST:
Introductory (August 18 to 20, 2002): $650*
Intermediate (August 22 to 24, 2002): $650*
Advanced (August 26 to September 1, 2002): $1200*
