AUDITION
VICTORIA PLAYHOUSE PETROLIA is looking for 1 performer to fill the following
role in one of their summer productions, CAUGHT IN THE NET – The Sequel To
Run For Your Wife – a new British farce by Ray Cooney (Canadian premiere)

Barbara Smith (early 40’s) – John Smith’s other wife; Gavin’s mother; still
a good-looking, curvaceous woman who is happy with her life and has settled
in with John’s routine; she is not looking forward to dealing with her son’s
teenage problems; loves her husband very much; a strict vegetarian, she is
into the latest New Age foods and trends; (good British accent a must -
(“common/ordinary” London accent))
Contract: June 24 – July 27

This new farce weaves a web of lies and deceit in which everyone becomes
gloriously and uproariously entangled and the audience never stops laughing!
