Apprenticeship dates: mid-August 2002-August 2003
This program provides assistant stage managing under Equity stage managers
on Chemainus Theatre centre-stage productions, as well as stage managing our
theatre for young audiences show and fundraiser show.  Opportunities also
include Young Company schedule coordinator, and assisting Education staff
administration.

The Young Company Apprenticeship Program is designed for young professionals
with formal theatre training bridging the gap to the professional world.  It
provides a rare opportunity to spend a full year with a year-round,
professional theatre in the beautiful setting of Vancouver Island, British
Columbia.

Chemainus Theatre provides furnished housing, a $100 weekly stipend for
living expenses, and a $200 stipend for the last 10 weeks of the
apprenticeship.
