Bunnies in the Headlights Theatre and Zuppa Circus Theatre are proud to
present a comprehensive three-week clown theatre workshop with Philippe
Gaulier in Halifax from September 2-20, 2002.

Whether you are a performer, director, writer or otherwise creative theatre
artist this workshop is a wonderful opportunity, not to be missed. Phillipe
Gaulier is renowned the world over for his unique approach to theatre
training and revolutionary results. He currently lives in London, where he
runs his training centre, Ecole Philippe Gaulier. Some of his past students
include Roberto Benigni, Emma Thompson, Helena Bonham-Carter, and Ali-G.  M.
Gaulier originally studied under and subsequently taught with the legendary
Jacques LeCoq.  It is an exciting opportunity to have the world’s best
coming to Halifax.

The cost of the workshop is $1,500 until May 15th (early-bird rate), and
$1,650 for those applicants who reply thereafter. Registration is first
come, first served, and we are expecting to fill the 28 spaces quickly.  A
$100 deposit is required with the registration form to hold your spot. The
balance of the fees will be due on or before August 1, 2002. A waiting list
will be started after the spaces are filled.  Please, serious theatre
professionals only.  Hurry!

Something that may be of interest to those traveling from afar is the
Atlantic Fringe Festival. Why not make your theatrical pilgrimage to Halifax
complete by touring a show to the Festival, which runs from August 29 -
September 8. Classes will be during the days (Monday-Friday, 10am-4pm),
shows at night.  Who knows, maybe you can make a little dough to help cover

An important note regarding the cost: We have applied for funding from
several sources, including the CAEA Professional Development Fund. If we are
successful, bursaries will be offered to Equity members to help defray
costs, however, it is important to expect no refund.  Be sure that you can
cover the full cost as specified above.
