CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS
The 20th Annual Groundswell Festival
Nightwood Theatre's Annual Play Development Program
Nightwood Theatre is soliciting new and daring theatrical works by
women, to be developed during the 2002/2003 season through
Nightwood=92s play
development program.
Groundswell offers emerging and established playwrights and theatre
creators an opportunity to workshop new plays. The selected Groundswell
playwrights=92 will take part in weekly workshops, from January to May,
As members of the Nightwood Playwrights=92 Unit. Groundswell culminates
with
The Festival in Spring 2003, where the playwrights will receive a public
reading of their work.
Guidelines for Submissions
Send us:
* A completed script (any length), or script excerpt for
work-in-progress;
for creation-based work submit a detailed project description &
synopsis
* A proposal for what you would like to accomplish through
development.
* Resumes of all artists already involved.
* A self-addressed stamped envelope if you want your material
returned.
Groundswell submissions will be reviewed by Nightwood Theatre=92s
Artistic
Director, Kelly Thornton, in collaboration with an Artist Advisory made
up
of a group of independent theatre artists associated with the company.

Please retain a copy of your submission. We will send you
