The Chemainus Theatre will be holding auditions for its upcoming
production of the musical "Annie".  This production will begin
rehearsals on May 26th 2003 and will run until August 31st 2003.
Auditions will be held for all characters in the cast, except "Miss
Hannigan". Performers from all ethnic backgrounds are encouraged to
audition.
 
We are seeking male and female adult actors with singing and dancing
abilities, dancers who sing, and singers who are able to move with
organized spirit.
 
All those persons who wish to audition should come prepared to sing a
song from the show, as well as 16 bars of a contrasting song.  An
accompanist will be provided, and you may bring sheet music.  All those
who audition will be asked to dance and demonstrate any acrobatic
skills.  Please wear clothing and shoes conducive to dancing.  Be
prepared to stay for an hour.
 
Auditions will be held on Vancouver Island January 2nd in the Meeting
Hall of St. Michael and All Angels Anglican Church, located near the 
theatre at 463 Willow Street, in Chemainus, B.C.

Auditions will be held in Vancouver January 3rd at the Carousel Theatre
located at 1411 Cartwright St. on Granville Island.

Equity members will be seen first at all open audition calls. Equity
members cast in this production will be engaged under an Equity form of
contract. CAEA members: please bring your membership card to the
audition.
