TALK IS FREE THEATRE   AUDITION NOTICE

Talk Is Free Theatre is a Dora Mavor Moore Nominated, artist-driven
company now producing in Toronto and Barrie, Ontario.  In its inaugural
Barrie summer season, Talk Is Free Theatre will be holding auditions for
two of its three productions.  

The company was formed in 2001 with the purpose of serving the emerging
artist by building a company that will showcase their talents and
promote their careers.
					
Artists auditioning can be considered for one or both of the following:

.  "The Marriage" a classical farce by Nikolai Gogol (The Inspector
General) in a new adaptation.  Directed by Aleksandar 'Sasha' Lukac.
Looking for strong physical actors, commedia dell'arte a plus, but not
essential. Tentative contract dates: July 7, 2003 - August 9, 2003 with
possible one week extension to August 16, 2003.
		
.  "Broadway Maybes"  an already popular Talk Is Free Theatre trademark
vaudeville production, featuring eclectic material from songs and
sketches to scenes and vignettes with the incomparable Randolph J.
Johnston at the helm, and inspired by the yet to be determined company
of singers, dancers, actors and musicians.  Tentative contract dates:
August 11, 2003 to August 30, 2003 with possible one week extension to
September 7, 2003.			

Please prepare and state one of the following audition categories in
your cover letter:
a) 2 contrasting songs and a comedic monologue of your choice. OR
b) 2 comedic monologues of your choice (one classical, one
contemporary).

AN ACCOMPANIST WILL BE PROVIDED PLEASE BRING YOUR SHEET MUSIC IN A
BINDER IN THE CORRECT KEY.

Equity members will be seen first at all open audition calls. Equity
members cast in this production will be engaged under an Equity form of
contract. CAEA members: please bring your membership card to the
