JOB OPPORTUNITIES AT THE SUDBURY THEATRE CENTRE

The Sudbury Theatre Centre invites applications for the following positions:

-Production Manager/Technical Director
-Head of Wardrobe
- Head of Properties and Scenic Artist.

STC is a professional theatre company in Sudbury, Ontario that offers a
six-play subscription season plus three Theatre for Young Audience
productions and various rentals.

Production Manager/Technical Director
Effective August 26, 2002 to May 17, 2003.

The Technical Director/Production Manager works in close partnership with
the Artistic Director and General Manager. The successful candidate will
have 2 years experience in a similar theatre and have extensive knowledge of
all aspects of production. The candidate will need  experience in scheduling
the staff, costing the show, rigging, interpret and understand technical
drawings, have knowledge of health and safety standards, basic understanding
of stage lighting and sound system, as
well as the building's electric and heating mechanical systems.

Head of Properties and Scenic Artist
Effective September 3, 2002 to May 17, 2003.

The successful candidate will be experienced in all aspect of prop
construction, buying and scenic painting. Duties include set dressing,
furniture, maintenance and running crew when required.

Head of Wardrobe
Effective September 3, 2002 to May 17, 2003.

The successful candidate will be experienced in all aspects of wardrobe
maintenance, cutting and building. Duties include but not limited to, =
purchasing, constructing and pulling from stock. To effect costume repairs
and daily maintenance as well as dresser and/or running crew =
when required. To facilitate all duties required in a one-person costume
department and to work closely with the Costume Designers and make every =
attempt to fulfill their design vision for the production. Costume Design
experience is also an asset.
