Stage Combat Classes

Survivors Workshop

10 am-3:30 pm only $200*
*A $50 non-refundable deposit is needed to hold a space.

 The survivor/safety workshop is a short intensive, which covers how to roll
safely, general unarmed techniques, basic parries and footwork of the sword,
as well as firearm safety.  This is a great course for actors just starting
out, directors who wish to build up their stage combat vocabulary, and stage
managers who wish to know more about fight safety and choreography.  Tuition
includes membership as an associate member with Fight Directors Canada.

If you are interested there is a FDC members night held every Monday from
6:30-9:30 at Rapier-Wit . Come when you are able.  Use this time to add new
skills while you keep your old skills up.  Rapier-Wit's Monday nights are a
great chance to network with other FDC members and hear about what
opportunities are available in the city.

Firearms Safety Workshop

Saturday April 13
1:00-3:30pm $100*

The firearms safety workshop is for those people who have already completed
the survivors or have taken unarmed and sword workshops.  The firearms
workshop will focus on gun safety, the mechanics of various guns, loading
and unloading, and how to use firearms on stage.  Class size is limited so
please book early if you are interested.

Daniel Levinson is a certified Fight Director and Instructor with Fight
Directors Canada.  His qualifications are recognized by the Societies of
American Fight Directors, The British Academy of Dramatic Combat, The Nordic
Stage Fight Society, The New Zealand Stage Combat Society, and The Society
of Australian Fight Directors.  Daniel is resident Fight Instructor at
Sheridan College, Theatre Erindale, and The Randolph Academy.  Daniel has
directed fights throughout Ontario.
