FUNDRAISER WANTED

Founded in 1991 by Artistic Director Stacey Christodoulou, The Other
Theatre is a non-profit organisation dedicated to the development of
alternative theatre in Montreal.  The company is a permanent ensemble of
Montreal theatre artists devoted to physical, experimental creation with
a focus on the development of new work, including adaptations,
de-constructions, original texts and collectively written material with

The Other Theatre is seeking a dynamic and experienced fundraiser. 

*	Must have knowledge of artistic milieu and experience in
fundraising with foundations and corporations.  
*	Candidate must be able to work independently and within
deadlines, as well as possess excellent writing and editing abilities.  
*	Research and computer skills required.  
*	Bilingualism an asset.  
*	Temporary contract position. 
*	Base salary plus commission.

Responsibilities:

Working with the Artistic Director, the fundraiser will:

*	Research and create lists of all potential donors for
foundations and corporations;
*	Prepare promotional packages to be sent to potential donors;
*	Contact with and follow-up on all potential donors;
*	Working with Board of Directors and Advisory Board initiate and
participate in fundraising initiatives (e.g. Raffle tickets, special
events, etc.);
*	Meet fundraising monetary objectives.
