Lazy Cat Productions is pleased to announce its spring workshop sessions!
Below you will find a number of workshops being offered in May at reasonable
prices .  Lunch is included in the cost for each workshop.

Fearless Music Auditions For The Non-Musical Performer
Geared towards non-musical theatre actors, this workshop is designed to
help you choose and develop a short song to be used at auditions.  The first
part of the day will be spent discussing what is needed for a musical
audition; how to prepare;  what to sing;  how to act a song and how to sing
it;
how to lessen stage fright;  how to audition with an accompanist;
presentation of material and other useful information needed for a singing
audition.
During the later portion of the day, each participant will spend about 20
minutes working on their individual piece with an accompanist. Class size -
minimum 8, maximum 15
Date - Saturday May 25, 2002, 10am to 6pm
Location - Solar Stage (Sheppard and Yonge)

Cost per day - $40 for non-Equity, $30 for Equity members, $20 to audit


Contemporary Monologues
For the other half of the actor's auditioning arsenal, this workshop
will allow the actor to bring a monologue and work on it in order to
discover
and unlock new thoughts and ideas for approaching the work.  Contemporary
repertoire includes that all that from Wilde and Shaw on.  The day will
begin with a very broad look at political and social history since 1890
and then work will begin with twenty minutes of individual work.
Class size - minimum 8, maximum 15
Dates - Monday May 27, 2002 , 10am to 6pm
Location - The Village Playhouse (Runnymede and Bloor)
