The York University Department of Theatre seeks an experienced Stage
Manager for our Winter Term

The contract is for 12 weeks, December 30th, 2002 to March 30th, 2003
with a one week unpaid hiatus February 17th to 23rd (University Reading
Week).

The Stage Manager will support two productions, (Uncle) Vanya, by Howard
Barker, directed by Geoffrey Hyland and Trojan Women, translation by
Gwendolyn MacEwen, directed by Jeannette Lambermont.  The Stage Manger
will act as advisor and mentor to the student Stage Managers and
Assistant Stage Managers assigned to the productions.  The Stage Manager
will take those rehearsals where the students are unable to be present.
Evening and weekend work will be required.

Compensation is at Guest Artist rate ($630.00 per week).  This is an
employment position with York University.
