Authentic Movement and Syntonics Workshop with MASTER TEACHER JUDITH
KOLTAI in January 2003 in Vancouver.
 
Mascall Dance presents master teacher Judith Koltai, MA, ADTR. Two
workshops 
A) Authetic Movement and Syntonics, Janurary 6-9 Mon-Thurs, 10am-4pm,
location is Mascall Dance studio 1130 Jervis, Vancouver, cost:
$325+gst=$347.50
B) Authentic Movement, Fri., January 10,  7-9pm and Sat&Sun, January
11-12, 10am-4pm, location: tba, cost: $250+gst=$267.50
 
 
Authentic Movement consists of a mover (or several) consciously
following sensation and impluse in the presence of a witness (or
several).  Within the safe container defined by clearly articulated
guidelines of physical and psychological safety, the task of both mover
and witness is to bring a specific quality of active attention to direct
bodily experience.  The guidelines free mover and witness from
judgement, projection and interpretation from external sources.  They
invite suspension of conventional forms and pressures of interaction and
creation.
 
Syntonics. The practical tools of the discipline are the
"Preliminaries", small, presice, repeated actions inviting a new
vocabulary and special kind of attentiveness to the spontaneous
responsive/adaptive nature of the total organism.
 
Judith Koltai is an internationally recognized movement specialist.  Her
trademark work is the physical practice of Syntonics and she is a
pioneer in the application of the discipline of Authentic Movement.  Her
unique approach includes choreography, voice and writing.
