Mixed Company Theatre  General Manager

Mixed Company (established 1983) is a not-for-profit issue-based theatre
company that specializes in interactive theatre.  This type of theatre
is referred to as Forum Theatre or Theatre of the Oppressed.  Mixed
Company is recognized as a North American Centre for the Theatre of the
Oppressed.  We work extensively in schools, throughout the community and
also provide in-service training in corporate settings.  Our mandate is
to: Produce contemporary, innovative and socially relevant drama; To
advance the understanding of non-traditional forms of theatre through
workshops and facilitated presentations; And to create opportunities for
everyone to enjoy the arts in the community

Responsibilities:
Position involves seeking and securing new projects, budgeting, cash
flows and projections, grant proposals, liason with funders,
fundraising, contracting actors and other artists, staff / board
liaison, planning, lobbying.

Qualifications:
The General Manager will possess excellent writing, communication,
interpersonal and organization skill.  The GM will also have a good
working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Internet and email applications in
a MAC environment.  Post-secondary training in Arts Administration is an
asset.

Project driven, Mixed Company has a core staff of three, and operated
last year with a balanced budget of $391G, producing many Arts in the
community events.

sector, and with experience.
