Production Manager
The Hamilton Fringe Festival

The Hamilton Fringe Festival is seeking a full-time Production Manager
for the 2004 festival (June 4-13th 2004)

The Production Manager will report directly to the board of directors
and will be responsible for ensuring that the Festival runs smoothly and
safely.  The Production Manager will schedule and oversee performances,
technical rehearsals and the load-in/strikes for 32 independent theatre
companies in 4 separate venues in the city of Hamilton.  S/He will be
responsible for the supervision of staff (including box office,
volunteer coordinator, house management and venue technicians) and the
coordination of technical production needs, including equipment rental
and storage. The Production Manager will also assist in the training and
staffing of volunteers.

The successful applicant will have excellent organisation and
communication skills and will have considerable experience in
professional stage or event management.  A strong background in or
working knowledge of technical theatre would be an assest.

Contract Dates:  February 15th to June 15th 2004

Contract Fee:  &16.000-$18,000, commensurate with experience
