The EPCOR CENTRE for the Performing Arts Education Department is holding
one artist PD workshop in February. It is designed for artists of all
disciplines who would like to further develop the business side of their

Negotiation Skills and Contracting

Fundamental to the negotiation process is the desire for a win/win
situation where both parties get what they want, and feel good about the
style of negotiations. Come and learn techniques that will allow you to
walk away knowing that you have sold your products and/or services for
what they are worth and you have done it with integrity.

Diane works experientially with the group, getting you to dig deeper and
find your own style that works for you.  Most artists feel more
confident, have a clearer picture of the negotiating process and feel
empowered by the end of the workshop.

Diane's interest in the arts began when she was a puppeteer and mime
artist in the early 80's. Since 1997, Diane has delivered workshops for
500 artists of all disciplines in Calgary, Toronto, Edmonton, Vancouver,
Ottawa and Hamilton. Diane brings a wealth of knowledge, and a highly
developed intuitive capacity to her life's work. She is known for the
results she creates with her clients and programs.  Diane is committed
to helping artists get the requisite foundation to bring the world of
art and business together. Diane has been profiled in BC Business
magazine for her work with the arts.
