 EQUIFLASH: CANADIAN OPERA AGREEMENT EXTENDED

In May, Canadian Actors' Equity Association concluded negotiations for a
one-year extension of the Canadian Opera Agreement with the Canadian
Opera Company.

After consultation with our membership, negotiations for the extension
of the current agreement were limited to monetary terms only.

Last Friday, with 98 per cent in favour, CAEA members ratified a
one-year extension the Canadian Opera Agreement.

Equity has successfully negotiated three per cent (3%) increases to the
monetary terms of the COA for the period July 1, 2003 - June 30, 2004.
