NOVERMBER 21ST
ALL ABOARD THE NIGHT TRAIN!
----------------------------

"The Night Train Revue is as big a band as you can get. It is
reminiscent of the big band era." Red Robinson

Vancouver's legendary Night Train Revue will arrive packed with a
dynamic evening of rhythm and blues, vocal entertainment and dancing at
the Hellenic Community Centre on Friday, November 21st in support of
PAL Vancouver

Established in Vancouver's East End in 1968, The Night Train Revue
represented a new era in live music with its brassy sensuality and raw,
edgy performance style. Early success resulted in extensive touring
throughout Canada and the US. In the early 70's the band folded, but
when the music magically flowed at a reunion concert in 1986, the band
was convinced to regroup for special engagements.

Recently the Night Train Revue has played to great acclaim at The
Commodore, the PNE, Whistler, Science World, Expo Theatre and Richards
on Richards and at private functions at Le Meridien, the Westin
Bayshore, the Hotel Vancouver, UBC Faculty Club and one memorable night
in an aircraft hangar.

The Night Train Revue, which features ten instrumentalists and vocalists
Billy Dixon, Miss Suzanne, Harry Walker, Kentish Steele, Lovena Fox,
legendary bluesman Hans Stayner, and the Soul Inspirations - Ronnie
Jordan, Katherine Cliff and Candice Gibson - is ready for one more rare
appearance under the direction of bandleader Chuck Cliff.

The timeless lure of soul and R & B music attracts audiences of all ages
to Night Train Revue dance parties. NTR evokes wonderful memories of a
time when we danced and celebrated life to the sounds of that sweet soul
music. This is a rare opportunity to experience the best!

The November 21st performance of the Night Train Revue is a benefit for
PAL Vancouver. Performing Arts Lodge (PAL) Vancouver is a B.C.
not-for-profit society, created to provide quality affordable housing
and support for seniors in the performing arts and allied professions.
Modelled on the successful PAL Toronto experience, PAL Vancouver will
enrich the cultural life of our city by supporting the health, well
being and continued creativity of all of our veteran performers and
those who work behind the scenes.

Doors open at 8:00 p.m. Tickets are $28.75 (including GST and service
charges) through Festival Box Office at 604-257-0366.
