At a time when the word "terrorism" is beginning to be heard daily in
the news, comes a play about people who have lived with it for a
lifetime. FOR SALE is an imagistic depiction of a Canadian woman who has
returned to her birthplace: the contested rivers, jungles, mountains,
and cities of Colombia. Confused by her broken marriage and her
indifferent career achievements, she takes a job as an interpreter for a
documentary on the people involved in the war in Colombia. Through her
we encounter women from every side of the conflict, dealing in different
ways with the hardships of 50 years of armed struggle.

the international community who risk their lives in the name of peace."
