Synopsis: Four Canadian soldiers serving in Afghanistan discover that
they are dead and decide to fight their way back to life. They join with
a dead Afghan grandmother whose village was destroyed by US bombs.
Standing in their way is the Angel of Death who has allied himself with
the historical figures of Winston Churchill, Leonid Brezhnev and Golda
Meir. Satire with music in the Brechtian tradition.
We are seeking:
#1 - Winston Churchill - 45-70 years old
As in the historical figure. A bull dog in the true sense of the word,
icon for western imperialism of the old school. Deeply aristocratic and
inflated. His manners are a cover for his inbred brutality. Known for
his sharp wit and penchant for clever sayings.
#2 - Leonid Brezhnev - 50-70 years
Again, as in the historical figure. The body and mind of a lifelong
bureaucrat. Conservative in every way, though when he feels his
interests are in danger he can be ruthless. Is described in a short
biography thus: \"he was a burly, gray-haired, black-browed figure of 5
feet 10 inches, gregarious and talkative, but powerful and very much
aware of his power over associates and adversaries alike.\" A heavy
smoker.
