Theatre Cares Gala benefit:  A BURLESQUE VALENTINE

Capping off Theatre Cares Week (February 9 - 15, 2004), Theatre Cares
Vancouver presents our third annual gala benefit, A BURLESQUE VALENTINE.
This will be an outrageous evening of big bawdy fun, performed by some
of Vancouver's finest theatrical, comic and musical performers.  The
evening also features a Silent Auction with thousands of dollars worth
of items donated by local artists, hotels, restaurants, spas, wineries,
and countless other local businesses.

Directed by Katrina Dunn and John Murphy, guest-hosted by Breakfast TV's
Michael Eckford and Fiona Forbes, Ellie Harvie and Shawn Macdonald, and
James Fagan Tait, A BURLESQUE VALENTINE will be bursting with naughty
surprises.

Confirmed participants include ... Denis Simpson, Cailin Stadnyk, Sophie
Olsen, Chris McGregor, Tom Jones, Kevin Foxx, the Plaids, the Hot Toddy
Girls, Gut-Wrench, Vancouver TheatreSports League, Ann Warn Pegg, Ballet
BC, Kevin Bergsma, Joey Ritchie, Sarah Susut, John Verhaven, Greg
Armstrong-Morris (Hedwig) and the Angry Inch Band, Kerry Davidson, the
Wet Spots, and Little Miss Naughty (with more surprises to come), and a
special appearance by Vancouver Mayor Larry Campbell!  At least partial
nudity guaranteed!

Regular-priced tickets are $50, but seats will be available to Equity
members (and other artists) at a special rate of $20 each, on a rush
basis.  Proceeds benefit Theatre Cares' charities for 2004:  the Actors'
Fund of Canada, local HIV/AIDS relief, and PAL Vancouver.
