Modern Times Stage Company
Position of General Manager

The Modern Times Stage Company is currently accepting applications for a
General Manager, to assist the company in the implementation of all
aspects
of its operation.

Modern Times has been on the Toronto theatre scene since 1989.  Drawing
artistically from aspects of Persian theatre, the company produces
challenging work emphasizing non-verbal image. Currently in a period of
artistic and administrative growth, the company is developing
international
tours in the Middle East, South-East Asia and Europe.

Successful candidates will possess excellent interpersonal, written and
verbal communication skills, attention to detail and the ability to work
in
a collaborative and friendly environment. A creative leader, this person
will have an overall familiarity with the exigencies of arts
administration, with a specific emphasis on marketing, audience
development, fundraising and sponsorship.  A minimum of three years
experience in a performing arts management position is prerequisite.

The salary for this position is $32,000 per annum and will start March
1, 2004.
