"Burial Practices of the Early European Settlers Through to Today"

A Staged Reading
Hosted by CBC Radio's Sonali Karnick 
and featuring some of Montreal's most exciting female artists: Carrie
Colak, Paula Danckert, Danielle Desormeaux, Janis Kirshner, Julie Tamiko
Manning, Rea Nolan, Danielle Skene, Laura Teasdale, Emma Tibaldo, Millie
Tresierra, and the Out of the Mouths of Babes Choir.

For the past 4 years, the Montreal branch of this committee has been
fundraising on behalf of local women's foundations.  This year we are
supporting Breast Cancer Action Montreal (BCAM) and Herstreet/Rue des
femmes. BCAM is a regional grass-roots organization whose focus is to
offer support to women with breast cancer, educate the community and
research the causes. Herstreet is a local organization that offers safe,
non-discriminatory drop-in and living spaces for homeless 
women and women in difficulty.  

All proceeds of this event will go to 
Herstreet/Rue des femmes and Breast Cancer Action Montreal.
