The Showboat Festival Theatre, a professional summer theatre  located in
Port Colborne, ON is seeking a dynamic, enthusiastic Production Director
for its 2004 summer season. The position combines the jobs of Production
Manager and Technical Director. The Showboat Festival Theatre performs
in the Theatre at the Roselawn Centre for the Living Arts both in the
round and in proscenium configurations. Tentative dates of engagement -
May 24 - September 11, 2004 (15 weeks) Overview of Duties and
Responsibilities: Oversee all aspects of Production for the Summer 2004
Season and supervise the Production Staff In consultation with The
Artistic Director, develop and implement Production Staffing for the
season, within the budget presented maintain expenses within the
production budgets of all productions and provide expense and budget
information as required schedule all Production activity coordinate
production meetings supervise and assist with construction, purchasing,
procurement supervise and assist with delivery and installation of
rented sets, costumes etc, as well as the construction and installation
of in-house sets, props etc. supervise and assist with tech week,
including set ups, hangs, focuses, levels, rehearsals etc. supervise and
assist with strikes, load outs and returns supervise and assist with
maintenance of production elements anticipate production and budget
problems and  help to identify solutions communicate activities of
production to other departments assist with  hands-on work as required
and where appropriate act as Production liaison between Showboat
Festival Theatre  and the Roselawn Centre for The Living Arts and their
Staff and Management. Other duties as may arise within reason
