Marketing and Development Manager
Theatre Gargantua-an award-winning, non-profit, ensemble-based Canadian
theatre company is seeking a dynamic, motivated individual with
marketing, development, promotion and management skills to fulfill a 4
month, 4 days/week contract beginning immediately (with possibility of
extension). This individual must have an interest in and enthusiasm for
the performing arts in Canada, and proven abilities in marketing,
audience development and liaison, and experience with fundraising/sales
strategies. Working closely with Theatre Gargantua's General Manager,
Artistic Director and Board of Directors, the Marketing and Development
Manager will have immediate responsibility for the marketing and
promotion of the world premiere of Theatre Gargantua's newest cycle of
work, running at Artword Theatre October 27 to November 13, and will
ensure that marketing, production and development goals are met for the
duration of the contract. 

The ideal candidate will have:
Marketing/promotions/sales experience
Development and fundraising skills
Excellent communication skills both written and oral 
Excellent organization and time management skills
Excellent interpersonal skills
Ability to set priorities, meet deadlines, manage multiple tasks and
work independently 
Experience working in a network environment using spreadsheets,
presentation and/or desktop design software, customized databases, etc.
Skills in website design and maintenance an asset.
Experience working in a theatre production environment an asset
