Garrison Hill between Gower and Duckworth Streets
St. John's, Newfoundland

Canadian Actors' Equity Association is hosting a seminar for Equity
members and small theatre producers in Newfoundland designed to
de-mystify the contracting and engagement of artists (performers, stage
managers, directors, choreographers and fight directors).

Find out about the myths and realities of working with Equity members
and the Association.

Equity's Executive Director Susan Wallace and Business Rep Manager Ken
Burns will be on hand to discuss the wide variety of contracting
arrangements available for small companies, member-driven co-operatives,
member-producers and independent producers. Members of the Atlantic
Advisory Committee and Equity President Henry Gauthier will also be in
attendance.

Topics will include the Indie Policy, the Fringe Waiver, Co-op
Guidelines, Guidelines for Benefits and Fundraisers, the Amateur policy
as well as discussion on Equity's more standard agreements such as the
Independent Theatre Agreement.  

Light refreshments and an open Q&A will follow the presentation.  All
are welcome.
