Lighthouse Festival Theatre is a highly successful summer theatre
entering its 26th year of
operation. Serving an all-Canadian mandate, LFT produces a Main Season
of four shows from June through August, plus a Season Topper in
September, Youth Programs and annual Playwrights' Festival. LFT owns and
operates the Town Hall theatre, a 350 seat proscenium theatre, in
beautiful lakeside Port Dover.

Position: Production Manager
Lighthouse Festival Theatre

LFT has an employment opportunity for a full-time Production Manager.
This is an exciting, fast-paced, dynamic position. It demands strong
organizational, supervisory and trouble-shooting skills. The Production
Manager will be a strong leader who can manage and motivate a diverse
team, working under tight time constraints.

Reporting to the Artistic and Administrative Directors, the candidate
will be responsible for creating and implementing a production schedule,
including design meetings, production meetings, load-ins, technical
rehearsals, and strikes. The candidate must be competent at managing
production budgets, and be able to provide thorough and accurate
paper-work in a timely manner. In addition to the scheduling and
supervising of production personnel, the Production Manager will serve
as liaison between the production, creative, and administrative teams,
as well as coordinate the transfer of joint productions with partner
theatres.

This contract position is seasonal, beginning in May and lasting until
mid to late August. It is understood that some preparation, planning and
coordination will take place prior to the start of the season.
Compensation for this pre-season work will be negotiated separately.

The candidate will have a minimum of either a two-year technical diploma
with production management experience or five years of working in the
industry.

The salary range, dependent on experience, is: $750 to $900 per week.

Position: Technical Director/Theatre Technician
Lighthouse Festival Theatre

LFT has an employment opportunity for a full-time Technical
Director/Theatre Technician. This is an exciting, fast-paced, dynamic
position. It demands flexibility, ingenuity, and good humour.

Reporting to the Artistic and Administrative Directors, the candidate
will be responsible for overseeing all theatre technical systems
including preventative maintenance and monitoring usage within and
without of the facilities. The candidate must be a team player, skilled
in trouble shooting, and adept at training production assistants and
volunteers on basic technical operations. The candidate will also
perform show calls, oversee set construction and production load-ins,
and be responsible for a "user-friendly" storage and inventory of tools,
equipment, props and costumes. As well, the candidate will be
responsible for basic custodial, building and outdoor maintenance.

The candidate will have a minimum of either a two-year technical diploma
with theatre
technician experience or five years of working in the industry.

The salary range, dependent on experience, is: $32,000 to $38,000 per
year

Position: Production Assistants: Lighting; Sound; Wardrobe; Properties;
Lighthouse Festival Theatre

LFT has employment opportunities in its upcoming summer season for
Production Assistants in all departments. We are looking for dynamic,
self-motivated, flexible individuals to join our fast-paced production
team.

Reporting to the Technical Director and Production Manager, Productions
Assistants will be responsible to assist with the smooth and efficient
day-to-day operations of all aspects relating to their specific
department, including production requirements for the Main Stage shows,
maintenance of equipment and inventory, as well as show calls during the
season. The successful candidate must be competent with departmental
budgeting and record-keeping, and able to complete work as scheduled
while maintaining a clean, safe working environment.

Preference will be given to candidates with a minimum of either a
two-year technical diploma or equivalent experience in their field
working in the industry.

This contract position is seasonal, beginning in May and lasting until
mid to late August.

Salary is dependent on experience.
