AUDITIONS-EDMONTON/CALGARY

Auditions for The Citadel Theatre and Theatre Calgary's co-production of "TRYING".

Director Dennis Garnhum will be holding auditions in Calgary on Tuesday June 7 and in Edmonton on Thursday, June 9.  Callbacks (at the director's discretion) will be the following day in both cities.

 

The dates for the production are:

_     Rehearsal begins in Calgary Tuesday, January 31, 2006

_     1st Preview February 28, 2006

_     Opens in Calgary March 3, 2006 

_     Closes in Calgary March 19, 2006 

_     Actors Travel Day March 21, 2006 

_     First On-stage Day in Edmonton March 22

_     1st Preview in Edmonton Saturday, March 25, 2006

_     Opens in Edmonton Thursday, March 30, 2006

_     Closes in Edmonton April 16, 2006

 

Character Information

_     Judge Biddle: an 81 year-old, once-brilliant man who was Attorney General of the United States under Franklin Roosevelt. After a long and illustrious career the aristocratic scion of an old, Main Line Philadelphia family now functions, as he says, "somewhere between lucidity and senility".

_     Sarah Schnorr: A 25 year-old woman who has been hired by Mrs. Biddle to be the Judge's secretary. She is a direct, plain-spoken, pleasant young woman, originally from Saskatchewan.
