JOB - OFFICE ADMINISTRATOR - HAMILTON

The Bach Elgar Choral Society announces an opening for the part-time position of Office Administrator. This position promises to expand with anticipated growth of the choir and the Society.

The successful candidate will have experience in the use of computers, word-processing, database and financial applications, possess excellent communication skills, show a capacity to work collaboratively as well as to undertake work independently, and will have demonstrated a level of responsibility in administrative procedures. Base remuneration is 15 hours/week with additional hours as required. Regular hours will be on weekdays. Attendance at rehearsals, dress rehearsals, and concerts is required.  The pay rate is $12/hour. 

 The job description includes attending to the following: 

-         membership program coordination 
-         season and concert ticket sales 
-         sponsor and patron coordination
-         programme coordination
-         advertising coordination
-         artistic contracts coordination
-         performance venue booking and coordination
-         document collation and filing 
-         routine office administration and communications 
-         data entry management for all programs
-         financial record-keeping, accounts payable, cheque preparation, bank deposits 
-         fundraising coordination assistance 
-         working with volunteers, particularly librarian
-         maintaining coordination between artistic conductor and choir board
-         secretary to the Board of Directors
-         coordination of information for grant applications
