Alberta Theatre Projects is thrilled to present a special
Pay-What-You-Can
performance of the Governor General Award nominated work Marion Bridge
by
Daniel MacIvor, Sunday, April 10 at 7:30 pm. All funds raised from this
performance will be presented to the Actors' Fund of Canada.
In Marion Bridge MacIvor brilliantly evokes the internal life of three
young women coming to terms with secrets and loss. His insight into his
characters lives along with his confident grasp of the local idiom
results
in a profoundly moving, utterly unique work, richly deserving of its
nomination for the Governor General's Award.
Fresh from Nova Scotia to direct this strong female cast is Ship's
Company
Theatre's Artistic Producer Pamela Halstead. Taking on the roles of the
MacKeigan sisters are Calgary's own Elinor Holt, Valerie Planche and
Katherine Sanders.
Marion Bridge runs March 29 - April 16 at the Martha Cohen Theatre,
