Audition Notice for The Third Taboo
Out of the Box Productions 
 
Seeking Opera Singer and Actor/Dancer/Mover
 
Out of the Box Productions current project, The Third Taboo, 
examines that least admitted to emotion, jealousy. Based on 
the Othello story, we present a troubling story of malicious 
envy and jealous love, communicated through interwoven opera, 
dance and a powerful drama. 
 
Contract is from March 20th- April 23rd 2006 (5 weeks)
	Rehearsals start March 20th 2006 in Victoria B.C.
	Production Residency at the Banff Centre from March 
 27th- April 2nd
 	2 weeks of performances in Victoria at the Metro Studio
 	1 week of performances in Vancouver at the Fire Hall Arts Centre
 	Stage Director: Gwen Dobie
 	Music Directors: Ingrid Attrot and Nancy Argenta
 
Roles to be cast:
 
Male Actor/Dancer/Mover- Iago
 	Acting skills and experience essential
 	Actor must have either strong dance background or 
exceptional skills in martial arts or acrobatics
 
 Soprano- Desdemona
 	Opera repertoire and spoken dialogue
 	Strong acting and movement skills
 Audition Location
 
Vancouver: 3-5 p.m. Friday December 9th
Firehall Arts Centre
Singers: Prepare two pieces from standard opera repertoire, a 
monologue (modern or classical) and be prepared to move
 
Actor/Dancer/Movers: Be prepared to move. Have two monologues 
ready (classical and modern)
