THEATRE AUDITION NOTICE - One (1) Female performer

fu-GEN Theatre Company is auditioning for a workshop of SINGKIL by
Catherine Hernandez.  Dramaturgy and direction by Nina Lee Aquino.
Singkil tells the story of Mimi, a Filipino-Canadian woman, who gets her
feet tangled in an ancient Filipino dance and her mother's deepest,
darkest secret.
The workshop will take place between October 17th - October 30th, with
public presentations on October 29th and 30th. 
We will audition both Equity and Non-Equity performers, and performers
will be paid for their participation.
We require one (1) Female performer.

The character:
MIMI: late 20s, Filipina-Canadian writer, Asian descent

Auditions will be held on Friday Oct. 14th from 9am-2pm.  Auditions are
by appointment only, and only the performers selected to audition will
be contacted by the company.

Requirements: Auditionees will be asked to prepare sides, to be
distributed by fax or e-mail, upon receipt of pictures and resumes.
fu-GEN Theatre Company is dedicated to the development of Asian Canadian
artists through the production of new and established works.

Equity members will be seen first at all open audition calls. Equity
members cast in this production will be engaged under an Equity form of
contract. CAEA members: please bring your membership card to the
audition.
