EQUIFLASH: UPDATED LIVE PERFORMANCE GUIDELINES NOW ONLINE

The Ontario Health and Safety Advisory Committee for Live Performance has announced the recent publication of the updated "Safety Guidelines for the Live Performance Industry" (2005). 

An electronic copy of the updated Guidelines is posted on Equity's website at http://www.caea.com.

The Guidelines recommend safeguards and realistic procedures to educate, advise and protect workers and management in the live performance industry.  They were drafted by a cross section of technical and administrative representatives from the performing arts, government advisors, and experts in policies and procedures. New sections of the Guidelines include: electrical; rakes; fog & smoke; and outdoor venues. 

Please note: References to the "Safety Guidelines for the Live Performance Industry in Ontario" stated in Equity's agreements and policies now refer to the 2005 edition.
