CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS - TORONTO

Burning Passions Theatre is now accepting resumes for a workshop/staged
reading of the new play, "Hands" by Jamie Lee Shebelski, directed by
Laurel Smith.

The workshop/staged reading will be part of the Playwrights Guild's
Canadian Women Playmakers conference to be held at the Drama Centre,
University of Toronto.  The workshop will consist of two half-day calls
during the week of May 22nd, plus a staged reading on Friday, May 25th
at 7:30pm at the Robert Gill Theatre, Drama Centre, University of
Toronto.  The reading will be part of several that evening showcasing
new works by women playwrights.

Casting required:

Terry - a woman in her early twenties, works in a coffee shop, a bit
desperate
Boy - the object of her affection, a stud muffin, commitment-phobic,
early to late twenties

Send submissions no later than Monday, May 1st, 2006 to Laurel Smith,
c/o Burning Passions Theatre, by email to:

accepting resumes from Equity performers only.  Please clearly note on
resume Equity and ACTRA status.

Equity members will be seen first at all open audition calls. Equity
members cast in this production will be engaged under an Equity form of
contract. CAEA members: please bring your membership card to the
audition.
