EQUIFLASH - 2006 - 2009 STRATFORD ADDENDUM NEGOTIATED

Equity has successfully reached a tentative deal with the Stratford
Festival of Canada for renewal of a three-year Stratford Addendum to the
Canadian Theatre Agreement. This deal is subject to ratification by the
Festival board, and will be put to the affected Equity membership for
ratification by mail over the coming weeks.

The Addendum will be extended until January 31, 2007 in order to
facilitate the ratification of proposed changes. If successfully
ratified, the new agreement will come into effect upon ratification, and
all conditions of the new Agreement will apply retroactively to December
1, 2006. Pursuant to the extension of the Addendum, the Festival may
issue engagement contracts for next season, which members may sign
pending ratification. Engagements during the off-season (such as
workshops) will also be facilitated, pursuant to the terms and
conditions of the 2003-06 Addendum. However the new terms will apply
retroactively upon ratification.

Many issues important to Equity membership were addressed including the
use of production photographs by the Artist as well as by the Theatre
for promotion, scheduling of rehearsal on performance days,
understudies, and addressing employment standards and employment
benefits for Stage Management.

Minimum fees will be increased by 2.75% in each year of the three year
agreement.

Senior Business Representative Ken Burns and Business Representative
Gwen Bartleman were assisted through the negotiations by members
Stephanie Graham, Ron Kennell, Angela Marshall, Julie Miles, Marylu
Moyer, Maggie Palmer, Nora Polley, Corinne Richards, Cindy
Toushan-Brnjas, Nicolas Van Burek, and Barrie Wood.

A complete ratification package, including all changes to the agreement
and explanatory notes, will be sent to the membership very soon. All
members of Equity in good standing who worked at the Stratford Festival
during the term of the last Agreement will receive a ballot. If you are
eligible to vote in the ratification and would like your ratification
package to be sent somewhere other than your primary residence, please
ensure that you have entered a temporary address on EQUITYONLINE at
http://www.caea.com by December 10th.

Further details of the recommended changes to the Addendum will be
